Macy’s Inc. is closing about 40 of its roughly 770 existing stores. After years of strong growth, the department-store chain has been struggling. It outlined plans to shut some stores in September, has now released the list of stores that will be closed. The retailer issued its plans after what it called “disappointing” sales and earnings performance in 2015.
